Quality Control (QA/QC)

Westfab maintains a quality control program certified by the ABSA to build, repair or alter ASME Sec. VIII, Div. I and ANSI B31.3 pressure vessels and pressure piping. We have the approval to use the ASME “U” stamp on our pressure vessels.
Module Fabrication Capabilities
Westfab’s integrated approach allows the ability to self-perform almost all aspects in-house. This accurate Multi-Service Provider approach (MSP) provides for schedule and cost certainty other facilities cannot offer due to their high level of subcontract activities.

Structural Steel Capabilities
Westfab specializes in structural steel fabrication. This includes the structural steel required for Westfab’s custom modular skids, pipe racks, and site erected buildings. Steel is cut utilizing a Robotic CNC Plasma steel beam cutter increasing productivity and efficiency. Structural steel fabrication can be done year round at our facility.
Pipe Fabrication Capabilities
Westfab has a superior Quality Management System (QMS) for all fabrication activities, which is currently registered in regional jurisdictions for structural steel fabrication. Project-specific Quality Management Plans are established at the time of award to identify the project-specific requirements based on the scope of supply.

Alberta (ABSA) certifications for shop and field construction with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for “S” and “U” designated work, the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI) with “S,” “U,” and “R” designated work, as well as the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) for structural steel fabrication.
